My attitude can either make or break my day, week, month, year. We are a product of our thoughts. Our thoughts turn into words, and if we haven’t worked that out, it can be a costly setback. Our attitudes can not be underestimated, for they will either bring you great victory, or great defeat. We choose that. Nobody else can own that, it is ours, and ours alone.
It starts with what words we speak. If we put to much emphasise on how we feel, or the circumstances we find ourselves in, it can become a pit fall. A downward spiral of negative thoughts, that leaves us, in a state where we have allowed our words, to kill and destroy any good that could have come forth. The power of words is life and death, and the tongue, if not control, can light the whole thing on fire.
When things are going well, not much thought goes into what we speak. On the other hand, when times become difficult, we will need to use what we have stored up in our hearts. So, the question needs to be asked; what have you stored up in your heart? The bible says: “that from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks”. The bible also says: “thy word have I stored up in my heart that I might not sin against thee”.
“Your attitude determines the outcome.” No self-help book, or course, can help us with this. You see, if we haven’t spent the time in His word filling our heart to over flowing, then when we need it, it is no where to be found. Our attitude, needs to be ready, to release the power, by the words that proceed out of our mouth.
Remembering, the plans that God has spoken over our lives, the signpost along the way. When His word within us, has become foundational. It is these very things, that will get you to the other side. Speaking what we know to be true, unlocks our future, our purpose, His ultimate plans, in a most mysterious way.
Faith when spoken, even when we don’t yet see the results, unlocks the power of Heaven to work on our behalf. Tapping into what we have stored up in our hearts, unlocks the power from the words spoken, releasing what is hidden and inaccessible.
We can, and will see the fullness, and the fruition of His words coming to pass. This is so powerful to all those watching our lives. Our testimony teaches others by watching our lives. God’s opportunities to share His life-giving message of hope, are all around us, … we just need to get to the other side.
Prayer: Dear Lord, your word says for us to ask, that you would help us to bridal our words. That you would help us to watch over the words we speak. Help us to see all those who need your hope, your love. Our testimony brings life to those in need.
Verse: ‘We all fail in many areas, but especially with our words. Yet if we’re able to bridle the words we say, we are powerful enough to control ourselves in every way, and that means our character is mature and fully developed. ‘ (James 3:2 TPT)
