Rich in Mercy …

We all make mistakes, and at times, set our sail to the wrong wind. There are always circumstances for the decisions we make, right or wrong. We are the ones, as well as those closest top us, that pay the price for the choices we make. Most people, in general don’t wake up in the morning thinking, today is the day … Yup, today I am going to blow it big time.

These moments really do work in our favor long term, but that doesn’t change the hour we find ourselves in. The crossroads in life, are designed to empower us to take ownership. Not to play the blaming game, finger pointing … we blew it, own it, move forward.

This is known as being humble, which God is close to. Right place, right time. We recognize where we are at. Asking God to forgive us, really is just that easy, and he is quick to respond. Then there are those who refuse to take ownership, pride rises up, and … well, God knows them from afar. This can become a life, that never grows, or gets past the fact, that they own it. The moment of decision, is right at the moment of acknowledgement. The lesson that was to be learned, will move you forward, or you will be stuck, reviewing this lesson, over and over again, … going no where fast.

God is rich in mercy, and desires only the best for you. He is quick to come to your aid, and release you from all sin. He loves to take our wrongs, and turn it around for good. Not only does He cheer you on again, He stands with you, so you have every chance of getting it right. He is part of your success story, and will never disqualify you.

The key in life is to never quit, “a righteous mans falls 7 times and gets back up”. Out of knowing that God is for you, and not against you, that He will never leave you or forsake you:

“Since we are assured by the LORD, “I’ll never let you down, never walk off, and leave you,” we can boldly quote, God is there, ready to help; I’m fearless no matter what. Who or what can get to me”?

Listen to what Hebrews 13:5 says:

What can we ever say to such wonderful things as these? If God is on our side, who can ever be against us? (Romans 8:31 TLB)

  • So, be honest, how do you respond in these moments … is this the relationship you have with God?
  • Are you quick to see His love and acceptance, with forgiveness?
  • Are you really waging a war with yourself, making sure you feel the full extent to what went wrong?
  • So, if Gods not keeping a record of wrong, why are you?

All God is looking for, in these moments, is simply this, did you learn from the mistakes you have made.

Prayer: Dear Lord, you are full of mercy, and long for us to walk in a continual unbroken relationship, with you. Help us to learn who you really are, and allow it to become an impartation, within our hearts.

Listen to what Ephesians 2:4 says:

‘But God still loved us with such great love. He is so rich in compassion and mercy. ‘

(Ephesians 2:4 TPT)
