Our Impoverished Minds …
Our lives are formed by our thoughts and the choices that we make. When we define our thoughts, we can see the patterns because of what we entertain. Our thoughts are a direct link to our words. This is why it is so crucial that you understand the power of your thoughts.
The battle is won, or lost at the gateway to your mind. What we focus upon, matters more than most are willing to admit. The power is in the words in which we speak. Our lives are shaped and formed by the words that proceed out of our mouths.
The power is in the words that proceed from your heart
Here lies the battle line to winning and losing. What ever you allow in is going to come out. Garbage food produces a garbage lifestyle. Good food produces a well-nourished lifestyle. You are the one who controls what the outcome is.
When we sidestep His solutions, and His ways because they do not conform to how we desire to live, then the outcome is by design our choice. When we feast upon the world and all that we are constantly being bombarded with, we will fall into a life that is powerless.
What we feast upon we will become
This battle can only be overcome by God and His word. The battle is so intense. It is unrelenting, and the only way one can overcome it, is by not walking according to it, and its ways. Satan in his design, has laid out a well thought out plan. His plan is to deceive mankind where they never understood, that on the other side of all of this confusion, was victory.
Read what 2 Corinthians 4:4 says;
They do not believe, because their minds have been kept in the dark by the evil god of this world. He keeps them from seeing the light shining on them, the light that comes from the Good News about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. (2 Corinthians 4:4 GNT)
This battle effects all who have never found God, or those who have, but never took the time to allow themselves to be taught. They never allowed their minds to be renewed, and because of this, a stronghold takes root where deliverance is needed to gain break-through.
The path to break-through is a renewed mind
The greater the break-through the greater the victory. God’s word when given the opportunity will shatter the bonds and yokes of destruction. It does not happen over night, or without a fight. Break-through is there but you are the one who will speak life or death. It is in the power of your words.
What you say can preserve your life or destroy it
Read what Proverbs 18:21 says;
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it, and indulge it, will eat its fruit, and bear the consequences of their words. (Proverbs 18:21 AMP)
We will reap what ever we sow. Our words when spoken forth create an action that follows what we speak. This is where knowledge comes in. When we gain insight into the effects that our words have, we can in-fact change the course that we have been on, by how we speak. But without this knowledge you will always remain without the insight that you needed to gain the upper-hand.
We determine the outcome by what we speak
Our minds only remain impoverished as long as we lack the understanding of the victory that we can have. This is the key point that you need to grab hold of. I do not care where you are at in life, there is victory there for you. It requires for you to take God’s word, and apply it to what ever you are facing, and in due time you will receive your victory.
A stronghold is broken when we refuse to accept the way things are, and stand on what God says will work. We empower an impoverished mind when we do not activate God’s word on our behalf. When we are lazy, we will be overcome by poverty on all sides. When we do not stand, we will fall.
Our habits are formed out of our actions. This is how strongholds are formed in our lives. We, by lack of effort, empower our actions to form strongholds that ultimately will kill and destroy our lives. It is because we never took hold of what we were given by God, as the gift, that when applied, would set us free.
God’s word is only powerful when we activate it on our behalf
This is the very reason we see so many defeated Christians. They have never taken God’s word seriously, and allowed its power to transform and change their lives. Any place where we have not taught ourselves, how can we honestly help anyone else. We first must take the time and renew our minds, and replace all the philosophies of the world, with the word of truth.
We need to fortify our minds on all sides, where there is no access. This means we have established Gods word in our hearts, and because of it, we are able to guard and strengthen our minds. This is a daily practice that has to be seen as a high priority every day.
Only when we allow His word to penetrate deep into our hearts, will we be able to see the stuff that absolutely opposes God’s word, and His knowledge. When His word starts to saturate our minds, souls and spirit the war is on.
We are the “Gate Keeper” that wins or loses the battle at the gate
When God’s word shines forth, the enemies of God, have no choice but to vacate that in which they had held uncontested to this point. You need to catch this key point. Uncontested means, you never used the authority that you had, to destroy the works of darkness with His word.
We carry a part that we need to walk out daily. When we do not properly understand our part, the enemy is able to keep us bound and confined. Caught in his trap. He becomes a squatter who is able to camp out at our expense. He leaves us impoverished, when we could just as easily, walked in our own victory, free from his clutching grip of destructive power.
Gods word is a weapon, that when we use it, sets the course for the future. This is not a name it and claim it moment. That never works. When it becomes established in your heart, it becomes your solid foundation that is not shakable. When you stand on His word, amazing things begin to happen because of it.
We will create either right habits, or wrong habits. It all depends upon what we allow. Everything that we need, and require for victory is there for us. Yet it remains totally useless, unless we put it to work. It is only as good as what we understand about it. Knowledge is the key point that enables us to have a fresh start, where we gain the ground daily, by the words that have been stored up in our hearts. It is a battle of words. You need to be able to see it, for what it is.
Battles are won and lost by the strategies that we take hold of …God’s Word
Read what 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 says;
It is true that I am an ordinary, weak human being, but I don’t use human plans, and methods to win my battles. I use God’s mighty weapons, not those made by men, to knock down the devil’s strongholds. These weapons can break down every proud argument against God, and every wall that can be built to keep men from finding Him. With these weapons I can capture rebels, and bring them back to God, and change them into men, whose hearts’ desire is obedience to Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:3-5 TLB)
We are the ones that when we use the power that we have been entrusted, destroy the strongholds that have been established in our lives, but also in the lives of others. You really need to catch this point.
When we break apart from the trap and the delusion, and come out from under the confusion, we then start to war on behalf of others, who have yet to attain what we have received. This is why it is so exciting to be a Christian. We have been given everything we need to destroy the works of Satan. He has been crushed under our feet.
We are “Victorious” in all things … through His word
Read what Romans 16:20 says;
If you do this, the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet soon. May the grace of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, the Liberating King, be ever present with you. (Romans 16:20 Voice)
These are powerful words that create a picture within our minds, and within our spirits. The enemy Satan is crushed under your feet. This is an actual picture of a defeated enemy, who once had control over your life. Now he is a defeated foe who has lost his clutching, griping hold on you, and your life.
What changed? The answer is, you did. You reversed the cycle of destruction, and set your life according to God’s word. When we put the word of God forth as a force, that we articulate out of our hearts, our mouths speak with authority.
No longer are we bound … but free …
