Our Identity …
We were created with an Identity, that the world and the enemy, will never be able to create anything like it. Here is the very thing that will either establish us, or destroy us. We will either find it, or walk through life aimlessly searching for it.
Our Identity … Listen to the Audio
Hi and thanks for joining me today. There is nothing more powerful, than when we as believers, in Jesus, are walking in the identity that we have been grafted into. Yet on the flip side to that, when we do not understand who we are, we are always looking to attain it.
This word has been in my heart for quiet awhile. It is hopefully going to spark something in us, that awakens us to the greater. God’s design was for us to rule and reign. My prayer is that this word, will ignite who you were called to be.
I have called this word: Our Identity
We were created with an Identity, that the world and the enemy, will never be able to create anything like it. Here is the very thing that will either establish us, or destroy us. We will either find it, or walk through life aimlessly searching for it. One brings rest and peace to our souls, the other war, and an internal conflict.
With Identity comes understanding
We were created to be seen as those who are connected to the Creator through His Son, and only when this takes place can we then begin to find our way. We need to be able to see, but that can only happen, when we see what Jesus sees. Without His sight, we will go through life aimlessly, looking to fill that empty void, that only He can fill.
Listen to what Romans 8:37 says:
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. (Romans 8:37 AMP)
Only when we gain this insight, will we then gain what we lack. His understanding brings the clarity that we lack. Only when we reach a surrendered heart, do we gain what it means to be established by the LORD, for it is in-fact, for the LORD.
We lack because of ignorance
It is what we cannot see, that we must see. To gain this life, we must be willing to surrender the life that we have. Our true identity can only be found this way. We must surrender, and out of that obedience, we will be given the ability, the stamina that we need, to have established in our lives, who we were always created to be.
Listen to what Luke 17:33 says:
“He who wants to keep his life will have it taken away from him. He who loses his life will have it given back to him. (Luke 17:33 NLV)
Our lives here in this lifetime is described as a vapor. Before we know it, our lives have slipped through our fingers, and without Christ we are eternally lost. Yet with Christ, though it will cost us everything, we gain both here, as well as a life, where eternity awaits us.
Surrender – Obedience – Stamina – Eternity awaits
Listen to what James 4:14 says:
How do you know what is going to happen tomorrow? For the length of your lives is as uncertain as the morning fog—now you see it; soon it is gone. (James 4:14 TLB)
All mankind, and the days of our lives is but a breath, one day we have it, and then, one day it is gone. At that moment, it will be to late to determine, what we had hoped to accomplish here in this lifetime.
For us to be able to stand up under the pressure in the days ahead, we will need to have received the endurance, through our inability to see, we will see. This endurance comes with a cost, for it will cost us everything. But through it, comes what we have been searching for, yet unable to attain.
Listen to what James 1:12 says:
The man who patiently endures the temptations and trials that come to him is the truly happy man. For once his testing is complete, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to all who love him. (James 1:12 Phillips)
We are needing to be trained, to stand up under the pressure, where we will not quit. This vigorous training will establish within us, what we in our own strength could never produce. Yet we will ultimately determine, whether we surrender, or rebel.
Our Training determines our Future
For us to be victorious in the days ahead we will need to come “Face-to-Face” with this very thing. His Peace – or – No Peace, we choose. True peace comes out of knowing who we are in Christ, and in this knowing, we cannot be shaken.
Listen to what Isaiah 26:3 says:
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! (Isaiah 26:3 NLT)
When our minds become fixed upon the LORD, we become unshakeable. His kingdom, rules and reigns our lives, where we are gifted His peace, that the world does not have, or know of.
His Peace – or – No Peace
His word will establish us only if we take what is written, and by applying it, we are changed and transformed, because of it. Our Story is found in His book, that was written for us. Endurance is birthed out of a heart that has been trained to trust Him in all things.
Only when we have been trained to stand firm, to be patient, will we be able to save our lives. By endurance through all things, we will find our lives. We will not lose, but gain. Our lives when authentic, through our true identity, will receive “Life” – not – “Death.”

By your steadfastness and patient endurance, you shall win the true life of your souls. (Luke 21:19 AMPC)
“Life” – not – “Death”
Our lives were created to make a difference here on this earth. When we catch who we are because of Christ, our future is transformed, and we are empowered to carry what we have been given.
It is impossible to teach others, what we ourselves have not received. In our “Identity,” We become empowered to empower others.
