Small Things …

There is something about learning to keeping your eyes fixed upon what God has placed in your hands. In a society where we have access to so much, it is so easy to become distracted, and entangled by what someone else is doing. When we set our course to what we see others doing, rather than what we have already been given, we will never succeed. We lose our course of direction when we see in others what we want, and we start to formulate within our own hearts how we can actually attain what they have.

To be content is great gain. Learning to stay focused upon the “One Thing” requires an amazing amount of training. This is why it is so important to understand what God is asking you to take hold of. You are unable to make headway until you can first establish His voice from all the noise that surrounds you everyday.

Quiet all the noise and listen for that “Small Still Voice”

If you want to do big things for God, it starts with obedience, in the “Small Things”. Yet for so many of us we are always looking for the big moments, that we pass by unaware of the small and seemingly insignificant moments, that are actually designed to determine and establish our destinies.

We are all discontent at times because of what we feel we should have, or where we feel we should be. We are not at all interested in staying focused on what is before us, which requires faith and a steadfast spirit. It requires a taking hold of what we have been shown and contending until we gain that in which we were promised. It requires a coming to the end of ourselves before we can see it come to pass. Is it not easier to turn away from the call and embrace someone else’s vision.

Contending is hard work … and requires a steadfastness in what we are in pursuit of

When we allow our feelings to dictate to us, the very things that we feel that we are entitled to, it in itself, is a slippery slope heading quickly in the wrong direction. Here is why. We were never called to walk by how we feel, rather by what God’s word has instructed us to do. Here lies the conflict. My feelings will always get in the way of being obedient to the Lord.

Hard work is what is required. Day-In-Day-Out we are required to show up and contend. We need to fight off the doubt and unbelief until we overcome and are able to be victorious in walking forward by Faith. If you cannot be trusted with a little, how can you ever expect to receive bigger things.

You will never get to where you are going by jumping into someone else’s calling and expect it to work out well. God entrusts “His Vision” with those who have been good stewards. It is for those who follow out His plans, managing what they have been given. The testing ground, is when you are in the midst of His plan, and yet you face all types of circumstances. Had you not been trained in the process, of what it takes, you would have failed.

Do you have what it takes to overcome the circumstances in the midst of what you have been entrusted

We are to persevere through all, knowing that the timeline of God is never late. As we learn to wait upon His timing, we see His plan unfold like a blueprint, like a master plan. These are the moments, when we execute His plans, here on earth.

We only do what we see the Heavenly Father doing. When we have been faithful with a little, the bible declares that we will be put in charge of many things. This is how we are rewarded. It is being faithful with what has been placed in our hands.

We end up celebrating together in a place of communion and intimacy … for it is in this place that over time we have become friends! There can be no sweeter words that He could speak over us than these. “Let Us Celebrate Together”

His longing is that we would in fact share and relish in the moment of victory together. There is not a better place to be than in His perfect will. When we embrace the trenches of life while we see others around us doing their own thing, we must be reminded that if we refuse to quit, we will see the victory.

Faithfulness comes when we have fixed eyes & our hearts … upon what matters to God

Our lives make a huge difference when we honestly know who we are, what we have been called to be, and where we are called to focus our attention. His Kingdom is advancing because we have become obedient to the calling that the Lord has entrusted to us. We in the moment of being tested refused to take our eyes off what has been set in front of us.

When we become steadfast, we become effective where the enemy loses its position of authority. This is the point that causes the enemy to shutter and shake. It loses where it had been hidden. It loses where it was concealed. The schemes and plots are exposed. It has no choice but to retreat.

We take back what has been stolen. The only authority that the enemy has is that in which we have allowed him to take. We willingly by our disobedience handed over to him what he has. It is for this very reason that the greatest struggle that we face is when we are trying to take hold of what God has called us to do. The enemy works overtime with great effort to derail it no matter the cost.

When we see the truth and embrace what it takes, we demolish the works of the enemy

When we embrace the call, all hell trembles at the power obedience causes. The ingredients will be different for us all. I am not able to do what others are called to do. Just as they can not take hold of what I am called to do. When we all get this point worked out in the days ahead the kingdom of darkness cannot stand.

This is what the kingdom of darkness would never want you to understand. Yet it is before you here today. We are called to be in battle together. We are on the same team with all different functions. We have all been called to become a bright light that disperses darkness. We shine forth only when we are obedient. You need to catch this part.

We cannot shine when we are looking at what others have, and wanting to be where they are at.  When we covet and long for something else other than what we have been assigned, we are disqualifying what God desires to accomplish through our lives. There is no glory that God receives out of a disobedient and rebellious heart. When we dictate to God what we will and will not do we are a pawn in the hands of the enemy. Satan knows that this is true.

90% Obedience is still seen by the Lord as Disobedience

It should grieve us when we understand that our relationship is hurt when we willingly turn from what God has asked us to do. Willful disobedience is rebellion. What we do not understand is that when we are asked to embrace a certain thing by God it in-fact is what we were designed to do. So, it is never designed to hurt us, but to bless us.

The enemy would always desire for you to feel a hardship because of what you have been given. Nothing could be further from the truth. God’s design, is for you to live the abundant life. Satan’s main purpose is to deceive you into believing the lie, and in doing so destroys you and your future. One brings life, one brings death. You make the final choice as to the path you will follow.

You are unable to make the right choices without His word operating in your life

God is wanting to train us into all that we were called to be. Our part is to take hold of what the Lord has offered us. Being faithful with a small thing, is really no small thing. It accomplishes way more that what we are able to understand.

So many times, we have ran ahead and not waited on God’s timing only to have failed miserably. God’s timing is such a gift that when we embrace it, we are trained and made ready by it. When we allow our eyes to stay focused on what He desires we are able to be confident in His timing, His purpose, His plan. We will have the confidence required that at the right time, it will come forth and not delay.

Our Day-to-Day lives is our training ground that God uses to forge deep into us His character

Commending his servant, the master replied, ‘You have done well, and proven yourself to be my loyal and trustworthy servant. Because you have been a faithful steward to manage a small sum, now I will put you in charge of much, much more. You will experience the delight of your master, who will say to you, “Come Celebrate with Me!” (Matthew 25:21TPT)
