Season of Rest
God’s people are being called into a short but much needed season of rest. This rest is not designed to have us become lethargic where complacency takes a hold of us. Rather it is designed that we would set aside time and find our way forward in a season of seeking the Lord for what now lies ahead.
There are certain things to watch for during this season;
- When we accept His offer, we are in fact positioning ourselves for success and not failure
- God’s timing is always perfect – Being led by His Spirit – Right place Right time – Not Late “Right on Time”
- There is only one place in the bible where we are instructed to “Strive” and that is to enter His rest
Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience. (Hebrews 4:11 ESV)
- In a season of rest is where we will receive what the Lord has spoken over us. It become a time where we will receive a personal and directional word from the Lord. Remember that what ever you are given never stops with you but carries forward into other peoples lives. The sooner you realize that life is not all about you but others you will advance quickly.
- As we enter into a time of preparation, we will receive the insight that we lack for what now lies ahead. Where we lack being aligned, we are realigned to His future plan. This comes out of a place of stillness and resting in Him. Your confidence and trust is in His ability not yours.
- Once we have received, we are then released forward with a thrust of freshness into what we were unable to see. You will not be able to correctly advance without His strategies. His strategies will move you forward with a victory for others. Your victory then has power to be the very ingredient that God desires to help other obtain the same thing.
- Set time aside each day and rest in His presence. As you do it will become life giving. Set aside all those things that distract you. “Become Intentional’ in your pursuit
Seek and deeply long for the Lord and His strength [His power, His might]; Seek and deeply long for His face and His presence continually. (Psalms 105:4 AMP)
Wilderness Retreat – Solitude
‘I would run far away where no one could find me, escaping to a wilderness retreat.” Pause in his presence'(Psalms 55:7 TPT)
When God puts His finger on our time it is concealed as to the why? Our job is not to question the Lord, rather to be obedient to the very thing that He is asking us to do.
Can You Identify?
This could be a clear indication that God is calling you into a season of rest to prepare you for what is now coming. My advice is do not fight the process rather embrace it. Be obedient to whatever he asks of you. It requires for us to humble ourselves. Our posture through life should always be not my will but Yours.
There will always be 100 reasons as to why it does not fit you time schedule but remember it requires for you to set aside your plans hopes and dreams to embrace how the Lord sees your future playing out.
These last 2 verses relay the true message that you need to hear. Please take these words to heart and embrace the call that God is placing upon your life.
God says, “Stop fighting and know that I am God! I am the one who defeats the nations; I am the one who controls the world.” (Psalms 46:10 ERV)
